The Coach House Heritage Trails
The Coach House was the first staging post for the Galway to Clifden horse-drawn "Bianconi" coaches or long cars from 1835-45. The house was also used by agents for the Cunard White Star Line (owners of the ill-fated Titanic) during the early 1900's. The local Post Office was sited here up to 1914. The predominant use of the house since the 1930's was as a Public house. With a 100-year history the house continue live under family run with serving traditional proper pub food, accommodation, pool table, darts, music and sport TV.
